ModeratorsRajeev Raghavan is an award-winning aquatic conservation biologist and fisheries scientist. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, and the South Asia Chair of the IUCN Freshwater Fish Specialist Group. Rajeev is known for his work on freshwater fish conservation in the Western Ghats, and has described 24 new species to science. With over 200 scientific publications, he has been continuously listed in the Elsevier-Scopus top 2% scientists of the world since 2022, and is the only Asian scientist till date to be awarded the ‘Fisheries Society of British Isles (FSBI) Medal’, for exceptional contributions to fish biology and fisheries science.
