Dr Nikhil Govind is a Professor at the Manipal Institute of Social Sciences Humanities Arts, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, India.

He has authored book publications with Routledge, and Oxford University Press, as well as the following Bloomsbury Academic titles: Shadow Craft (with Gayathri Prabhu, 2020), Moral Imagination of the Mahabharata (2022), and Rama Rasa: Transcendence and Worldliness in the Ramayana Tradition (2025).

He is a Working Editor at the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics (IJME), and also writes for media outlets such as Scroll and Wire.
