The Institute for Climate Change Studies (ICCS), established in 2014 is an Institution of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE), under the Department of Science & Technology as a Research and DevelopmentOrganisation.
The Institute focuses research on state specific impacts of climate change on various sectors and propose appropriate action for its management and mitigation in collaboration with other institutes, universities and departments.
The vision of ICCS is to empower the State of Kerala against the inevitable consequences of climate change and enhance the resilience and adapt through science, technology, innovation, and awareness. it works to develop a system for providing timely and improved climate change information and climate services to the state through collaboration with national and international institutions/ organizations for better decision making and climate risk management.
ICCS is the first dedicated institute in the state focusing exclusively on climate change research, adaptation, and policy support.
